Masseter reduction is a non-surgical treatment used to reduce the width of an overly square or wide jawline and instead giving a slimmer, more attractive, and youthful jawline. A large and more pronounced jaw width can be caused by a stronger masseter muscle, this is often attributed to teeth clenching. After your treatment, results can start being seen from the second week, but optimal results will be visible after 6-8 weeks. Once the treatment has been completed, you will find that the angle of your jaw will relax, changing from a strong squares shaped jawline to a more feminine looking oval or heart-shaped face. Anti-wrinkle injections wear off after a while, so the treatment needs to be repeated every 3-6 months to maintain this desired look.
